ABOUT US
Jeffrey Devall
Hello. My name is Jeffrey Devall. I am originally from Gulfport, MS where I was born and raised for the first 19 years of my life. Shortly after the attacks on our country on September 11th, 2001, I felt compelled to join the United States Air Force where I served for 10 years on active duty. During my time in the Air Force, I was taught from the beginning the importance of our core values which I hold close to my heart still today. I learned that the value of integrity first was really the cornerstone of our safety culture, and I have carried that value with me throughout my career in the mining industry.
Career in mine safety
In 2012, I decided to leave the Air Force and pursue a career in safety with a large copper mining company in Arizona where I was able to grow and learn the importance of the main core value of integrity first. After spending a couple of years at the mine, I transferred my remaining federal time to the Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA) where I served as an Educational Field and Small Mine Specialist for 9 years. In this role, I had the opportunity to travel the country and meet face-to-face with the most precious resource in the mining industry… The Miner.
Sharing my experience
The experience, knowledge, and exposure I gained from the many different types of mining operations over the years have given me the inspiration to provide beneficial, effective, interactive, and value-added training that our miners deserve. As an instructor with over 10 years of experience in creating and designing creative training sessions, I am ready to take the mining industries training by storm and work with you and your companies one on one to ensure our miners go home every single day in a better condition than what they showed up for work in.
